Press Release: The special Saturday night edition of ShoBox: The New Generation on June 30th has just been completed with the addition of two new bouts. Previously announced for the show at Springs Resort Casino in Indio, Calif.  is the IBF junior middleweight championship bout between champion Cornelius "K9" Bundrage and Cory Spinks, but that has now been bolstered by the addition of featherweight Gary Russell Jr. taking on Christopher Perez and Cuban junior middleweight Erislandy Lara facing Freddy Hernandez in a pair of ten-round bouts.

       
Lara (16-1-1, 11 KOs) [who was badly robbed of a win] against Paul Williams in 2011, has taken matters into this own hands, knocking out Ronald Hearns in just 94 seconds in April. 
 

Mexico City's  Hernandez (30-2, 20 KO's) is an 11-year veteran of the sport who has faced four former or current titleholders in a row (DeMarcus Corley, Mike Anchondo, Andre Berto and Luis Collazo) in his last four fights (losing only to Berto).

Esto para mi es una estrategia de la WBC querer sacar a Lara del panorama. 

Le dan solo 2 semanas para la noticia y si dice que no, pierde la oportinidad al campeonato contra el Canelo.  Con 2 semanas no es suficiente para estar bien preparado.

no deberia ser problema para lara, riel hernandez no es oponente pal cubano, hernandez seria otro soto karras, solo van padelante,lara con una mano en la cintura le gana asi alla entrenado solo una semana para la pelea...al cesar lo que es del cesar.

Supuestamente asi deberia de ser pero cuando no te dan el tiempo suficiente para entrenar cualquier cosa puede pasar.

En el boxeo cualquier malla sale un raton. 

Cualquier boxeadore es capaz de noquear al otro.  Si a ti te dan 2 semanas para que te prepares y el otro ya tiene meses entrenandose, las cosas pueden ser un poco desniveladas.
