On October 25 2012, defending why the Obama administration did not send help to the besieged U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, Obama’s Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta made this interesting statement to Pentagon reporters:

“(The) basic principle is that you don’t deploy forces into harm’s way without knowing what’s going on; without having some real-time information about what’s taking place. And as a result of not having that kind of information, the commander who was on the ground in that area, Gen. [Carter] Ham, [Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff] Gen. [Martin] Dempsey and I felt very strongly that we could not put forces at risk in that situation.”

The first thing to note about what Panetta said is that HE LIED about the administration not having “real-time information about what’s taking place”.

Last Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer said on television that his sources say Barack Obama was in the White House situation room watching the Benghazi attack in real time.

Ay por favor Sadell no me digas que no sabes que la mayoría de los hombres piensan con la cabeza de abajo.  Si se iba a retirar por otro motivo simplemente decia que queria pasar más tiempo con su familia o cualquier otro cuento como lo hizo Powell cuando fue secretario de estado y se retiro por las diferencias que tenia conla administración de Bush, sin necesidad de manchar su imagen.  Como dice el refran desde que se inventaron las excusas todo elmundo queda bien.

pero usemos "logica"... un hombre con la experiencia de el, con todos los cargos que ha tenido en la milicia..... no crees que se hubiera cuidado de serle infiel a su esposa? ...... exactamente sabiendo las consecuencias de que esa aventurita le causaria a su carrera  militar?.....  no creo que el hubiese expuesto a~nos y a~nos de servicio por una aventura marital..... 

y por supuesto  que el ha usado esa excusa (extra marital affair) para hacer mas facil su retiro del CIA y de su puesto...... es mejor que piensen que fue infiel a  su esposa  a que se encuentre algo mas sospechoso y mas grave  del cual el desea apartarse lo mas pronto posible.........

recuerda, somos humanos y tenemos derecho a sospechar, especialmente sospechar de  un hombre tan  experimentado en su campo militar,  un hombre bien preparado  y tan organizado como lo es Petraus y que no haya pensado las "consecuencias"  que le causaria a el una aventura extra marital...  solo genera  sospechas mas graves porque el esta renunciando....

Idefix:   Petraeus pudo haber tenido muchas aventuras  y talvez muchos  militares  tienen sus aventuras y lo mantienen en secreto y eso pudo pasarle a el, no creo que el sea un santo......

pero de repente, antes de  una semana  en que el general Petreaus  fuera a testificar en el caso de Benghazi,...... ja, ja, ja  el confiesa de un affair que (segun creo)  ese affair ya habia terminado.... ahora la "amante" era la escritora de su biografia (de Petraeus), una mujer linda, inteligente, pero creo que ese affair ya habia terminado.....  asi es que el no tenia porque 'confesarlo", ......... a no ser que alguien lo haya estado "amenanzando" a Petraeus por alguna razon  muy grave como el caso de benghazi ................... y el no tuvo mas  salida que confesar su aventurita.....
