Re: GRACIAS A OBAMA

States Reach $25 Billion Deal With Banks Over Foreclosure Abuses

More than two million American homeowners will get at least $25 billion in relief from the nation’s biggest banks as part of a broad settlement to be announced as early as Thursday with state and federal authorities. It is the latest effort by the government to halt the housing market’s downward slide.

Despite the billions earmarked in the accord, the aid will help only a relatively small portion of the millions of borrowers who are delinquent and still facing foreclosure. The success could depend in part on how effectively the program is implemented, because earlier attempts by Washington to help troubled borrowers aided far fewer than had been expected.
Still, the agreement marks the broadest effort yet to help borrowers who owe more than their houses are worth, with roughly 1 million to see their mortgage debt reduced by banks. In addition, 300,000 homeowners are to be able to refinance at lower rates, while another 750,000 people who lost their homes to foreclosure between September 2008 and the end of 2011 will receive checks for about $2,000.

Brokered by officials in Washington, the final details of the pact were being negotiated until the last possible minute, including how many states would participate and when the formal announcement would be made in Washington. The two biggest holdouts, California and New York, now plan to sign on, according to officials familiar with the negotiations.

OBAMA PRO ABORTO, CONTRACEPCION Y EUTANASIA

Obama Chief of Staff: New Pro-Abortion Mandate Here to Stay
Life News ^ | 2/13/12 | Steven Ertelt

President Barack Obama’s right hand man said over the weekend that the revised mandatethe administration put into place requiring insurance companies to distribute birth control and abortion-causing drugs to women at no cost is here to stay.

The Obama administration has revised its controversial mandate that had forced religious employers to pay for health insurance coverage that includes birth control and drugs like Plan B, the morning after pill, and ella that can cause abortions.

The revised Obama mandate will make religious groups contract with insurers to offer birth control and the potentially abortion-causing drugs to women at no cost. It will have religious employers refer women to their insurance company for coverage that still violates their moral and religious beliefs. Under this plan, every insurance company will be obligated to provide coverage at no cost.

Despite strong objections from the Cathodic bishops and pro-life groups, Jacob Lew told “Fox News Sunday” that the Obama administration believes the revised mandate addresses objections from pro-life and Catholic groups and is consistent with the president’s “very deep belief that a woman has a right to all forms of preventive health care, including contraception.”

“We have set out our policy,” Lew said. “We are going to finalize it in the final rules, but I think what the president announced on Friday is a balanced approach that meets the concerns raised both in terms of access to health care and in terms of protecting religious liberties, and we think that’s the right approach.”

“We didn’t expect to get the support of the bishops or all Catholics,” Lew continued. “We think it is a very good resolution of the problem. It’s gotten the support of a wide range of organizations from Catholic charities and the Catholic Health Association to Planned Parenthood.”

“We put out the plan that reflects where the president intended to go. This is our plan,” Lew added on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday.

He added on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that the White House has “broad consensus, not universal consensus. This is an approach that’s right.”

GENOCIDIO DE BEBES GRACIAS A HERODES OBAMA

PART 2

OBAMA FINAL SOLUTION TO POVERTY: KILL THEIR BABIES

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops issued a statement saying Obama’s revised mandate involves “needless government intrusion in the internal governance of religious institutions” and it urged Congress to overturn the rule and promised a potential lawsuit.

Republican Congressman Paul Ryan said on ABC the compromise was an accounting trick and added that House Republicans would try to overturn it.

As The Weekly Standard notes in it’s ‘No Precedent for the Government Ordering Private Companies to Offer a Product for Free‘… “This issue goes well beyond the issue of religious freedom, and it highlights the unprecedented threats to limited government and liberty that Obamacare poses to all Americans, from the most devout Catholic to the most committed atheist. Americans are faced with two choices: politicized medicine and an unprecedented consolidation of power and control in Washington, or repeal.”

Alliance Defense Fund Senior Counsel Gary McCaleb told LifeNews “The Obama administration’s rule change doesn’t change anything. The so-called ‘accommodation’ still forces people of faith to violate their religious beliefs and core values. The issue is whether the government will respect our God-given first freedom, religious liberty. If it does not, Christians will resist, and ADF will defend them.”

Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council added: “Because of a provision in Obamacare, the Obama Administration issued a “regulation” mandating that all private health insurance plans completely cover contraceptives and sterilization services (including those with abortifacient mechanisms of action). Organizations that provide insurance to their employees will be forced to cover such services, even if they have moral or religious objections.”

PART 3

“The effect is that all businesses, charities, universities, non-profits, hospitals and other religious organizations, other than churches, will be forced by the Federal government to offer health coverage of contraceptives to their employees, including those like Plan B or Ella that can destroy human embryos,” he said. “In response to negative reactions from religious faithful of all stripes President Obama tried to back away from his original order, but what he did was even worse.”

“The Obama Administration would like you to think what they are doing is a “compromise.” Instead what he gave the American people is a new mandate that forces everyone to subsidize practices that violate your religious and moral beliefs. The President describes this as common ground for religious objectors however it is in fact a burial ground for the First Amendment. Religious organizations will still being paying for insurance plans who will in turn give free contraceptives to their employees. Religious individuals and entities should not subsidize health coverage of what they object,” he said. “When it comes to a person’s faith there is no compromise.”

Meanwhile, the Republican presidential candidates had been taking verbal swings at Obama for imposing the original mandate on religious employers, which is not popular in the latest public opinion poll and which even some Democrats oppose.

Congressman Steve Scalise has led a bipartisan letter with 154 co-signers calling on the Obama Administration to reverse its mandateforcing religious organizations to include drugs that can cause abortion and birth control in the health care plans of their employees.

Re: GENOCIDIO DE BEBES GRACIAS A HERODES OBAMA

PART 4

OBAMA'S

Bishops across the country have spoken out against the original mandate and are considering a lawsuit against it — with bishops in more than 164 locationsacross the United States issuing public statements against it or having letters opposing it printed in diocesan newspaper or read from the pulpit.

“We cannot — we will not comply with this unjust law,” said the letter from Bishop Thomas Olmsted of Phoenix. “People of faith cannot be made second-class citizens.”

The original mandate was so egregious that even the normally reliably liberal and pro-abortion USA Today condemned itin an editorial titled, “Contraception mandate violates religious freedom.”

The administration initially approveda recommendation from the Institute of Medicine suggesting that it force insurance companies to pay for birth control and drugs that can cause abortions under the Obamacare government-run health care program.

The IOM recommendation, opposed by pro-life groups, called for the Obama administration to require insurance programs to include birth control — such as the morning after pill or the ella drugthat causes an abortion days after conception — in the section of drugs and services insurance plans must cover under “preventative care.” The companies will likely pass the added costs on to consumers, requiring them to pay for birth control and, in some instances, drug-induced abortions of unborn children in their earliest days.

The HHS accepted the IOM guidelines that “require new health insurance plans to cover women’s preventive services” and those services include “FDA-approved contraception methods and contraceptive counseling” — which include birth control drugs like Plan B and ella that can cause abortions. The Health and Human Services Department commissioned the report from the Institute, which advises the federal government and shut out pro-life groups in meetings leading up to the recommendations.

Re: ¿Cómo calificarías la gestión de Barack Obama en el últi

In the face of immense public pressure from anti-woman extremists like the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, President Obama listened to women's rights advocates and made an historic advancement for women's health with new regulations that require insurance coverage for birth control with no co-pays for women.

However, the radical anti-contraception advocates are now turning to Congress in an attempt to restrict women's access to this vitally important health care.

Tea party Republicans in the House and Senate have introduced legislation that would override President Obama's decision, and allow any employer, regardless of religious affiliation, to deny access to no-cost birth control to their employees. And some Democrats may cave on this important issue, especially if Republicans attach an anti-birth control provision or amendment onto an unrelated, "must pass" bill.

Congress needs to hear that you oppose this radical legislation.

Tell Rep. Himes and Sens. Lieberman and Blumenthal: Don't vote for any bill that includes an anti-bi...

This past year brought an unprecedented number of attacks on women's access to reproductive health care, and anti-woman legislators introduced extreme legislation that would have redefined rape, let women die in a hospital rather than have a life-saving abortion, and defunded Planned Parenthood.

But because those bills failed to pass, these radical activists are now trying to exert control over women's bodies by limiting their access to birth control — something that, under the new health care law, women should have access to at no additional cost.

And now, we need as much of Congress to stand up and vote against these radical bills as possible. No matter whether your senators and representative are Democrats, Republicans, pro-choice, or anti-choice, they need to hear that their constituents adamantly oppose any legislation that would limit women's access to this critical health care.

If your senators and representative are pro-choice, they need to hear that their constituents want them to stand up and publicly oppose these attacks on women's health. And if they are anti-choice, it is especially important that they hear that their constituents will hold them accountable for voting for any legislation that restricts access to birth control.

Tell Rep. Himes and Sens. Lieberman and Blumenthal: Don't vote for any bill that includes an anti-bi...

Birth control is basic health care, and something that no employer should be able to restrict access to.

The Department of Health and Human Services and the medical community agree that providing no-cost birth control is an essential part of preventive health care for women. And Kathleen Sebelius, the director of HHS, said that providing birth control at no cost to women should be like "covering flu shots."1

It is ridiculous for the (mostly male) extreme right-wing faction of Congress to try to pass legislation that could have potentially devastating effects on the health and wellbeing of millions of women.

Tell Rep. Himes and Sens. Lieberman and Blumenthal: Don't vote for any bill that includes an anti-birth control amendment or provision.

Re: GENOCIDIO DE BEBES GRACIAS A HERODES OBAMA

Stop Vote Suppression!

Now that they control a majority of statehouses across the nation, Republicans are attempting a bold power grab to disenfranchise voters and repeat the Florida election debacle of 2000.

Right now, states with Republican governors or new GOP majorities are ramming through bills designed to make it harder for people to vote.

They'll stop at nothing to steal the Presidency.

We have to act now to stop these bills from becoming law. The Democratic Governors Association is the only organization devoted solely to electing Democratic governors who will veto any and all attempts to limit voter rights. Use the form at the right to stand with the DGA and demand that Republicans stop their politically-motivated attempts to suppress votes.

Catholic Voters Strongly Disapprove of Obama

Catholic Voters Strongly Disapprove of Obama

By Katie Pavlich 2/14/2012

Obama's re-election chances are growing slimmer by the day. According to a new Rasmussen Report, an overwhelming majority of Catholic voters disapprove of the job President Obama has done by 59 percent.

Catholics strongly disapprove of the job President Obama is doing as the debate continues over his administration’s new policy forcing Catholic institutions to pay for contraception they morally oppose. While the president’s overall job approval ratings have improved over the past couple of months, they have remained steady among Catholics. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 59% of likely Catholic voters nationwide at least somewhat disapprove of the president’s job performance, while 40% at least somewhat approve. But the passion’s on the side of those who don’t like the job he’s doing: 44% Strongly Disapprove versus 19% who Strongly Approve.

How long until the White House further compromises on the contraception issue with these numbers?
