The other problem with the true believers is they have credentialed themselves and put themselves into positions of respect and authority. Ayers as a university professor was entitled to a platform for his views, and many people allow him to air them in the spirit of public debate. This is exactly what they want, for as soon as they assume a pposition of respect, their twisted view of society becomes debated. In fact their views should be tossed out with the trash and their title stripped away.

An outsider cannot begin to comprehend the deep level to which machine politics have descended to in Chicago. There is virtually no job in government at any level, city, county and many state positions, where a person owes a person which owes a politician. You just don’t get there from here without paying a lot of dues, both in money and physical labor. By physical labor I mean going out on the streets and knocking on doors, campaigning, cajoling friends to elect certain people. To the untrained eye, one Democrat looks like another when nothing can be further from the truth.

From afar, the machine is a thing of beauty when it springs into action. There is intense coordination. It’s efficient. Opponents are mowed down. Like a band of army ants, it eats everything in its way. Not even the internet and software can stop the political machine. Employees will make sure they don’t adopt software that would cost precious jobs. City reorganization isn’t cutting budgets, it’s simply designating which private sector business will absorb the city jobs that were cut. Then the private sector gets intimately intertwined with the government and the machine spreads to ho hum businesses like florists and caterers. Chicago runs more like Russia or China with an American twist. The only way out is to escape. Chicago has lost population over the last twenty years.

Then there are the Democrats that are the connectors. David Axelrod is a true believer that is a connector. He is good with the turn of a phrase to mask what they truly want and turn it into something saleable to the American public. The Clinton’s had their own machine which some Chicago folks were a part of. But their idea of political combat was a scorched earth policy. Chicago operators are much more pragmatic than that.

Obama’s mission was to ingrain that sort of crony capitalist machine into the fabric of national politics. One look at all the waivers given to his cronies for Obamacare shows you where he is headed. If Obama and his compatriots get there way, every business, man, woman and child will have to bow their head and kiss a ring to get anything done.

Those true believers are dangerous. People like Ayers want the traditional America destroyed. Sometimes they do make mistakes. They believe so deeply in the idealistic nation state they envision, that they lose sight of what is really happening on the ground. I think Daley leaving the White House is one of those times. Valerie Jarrett and the practitioners of her sstyle of politics are running the show. Let’s work hard to inform Americans so they don’t buy what she is selling. Had Daley held sway, we would have seen a different more palatable direction.

FACT CHECK: Obama's 2012 State of the Union

President Obama's array of plans in his State of the Union speech was light  on a key piece of context -- namely, that his hands are so tied until after the  election that it is doubtful many if any of them can be done in the remainder of  his term. There can be little more than wishful thinking behind his call to end  oil industry subsidies -- something he could not get through a Democratic  Congress, much less today's divided Congress, much less in this election  year.

A look at Obama's rhetoric Tuesday night and how it fits with the facts and  political realities of the day:

OBAMA: "We have subsidized oil companies for a century. That's long enough.  It's time to end the taxpayer giveaways to an industry that's rarely been more  profitable, and double-down on a clean energy industry that's never been more  promising."

THE FACTS: This is at least Obama's third run at stripping subsidies from the  oil industry. Back when fellow Democrats formed the House and Senate majorities,  he sought $36.5 billion in tax increases on oil and gas companies over the next  decade, but Congress largely ignored the request. He called again to end such  tax breaks in last year's State of the Union speech. And he's now doing it  again, despite facing a wall of opposition from Republicans who want to spur  domestic oil and gas production and oppose tax increases generally.

OBAMA: "Our health care law relies on a reformed private market, not a  government program."

THE FACTS: That's only half true. About half of the more than 30 million  uninsured Americans expected to gain coverage through the health care law will  be enrolled in a government program. Medicaid, the federal-state program for low-income people, will be expanded starting in  2014 to cover childless adults living near the poverty line.

The other half will be enrolled in private health plans through new  state-based insurance markets. But many of them will be receiving federal  subsidies to make their premiums more affordable. And that's a government  program, too.

Starting in 2014 most Americans will be required to carry health coverage,  either through an employer, by buying their own plan, or through a government  program.

OBAMA: "Tonight, I want to speak about how we move forward, and lay out a  blueprint for an economy that's built to last - an economy built on American  manufacturing, American energy, skills for American workers, and a renewal of  American values."

THE FACTS: Economists do see manufacturing growth as a necessary component of  any U.S. recovery. U.S. manufacturing output climbed 0.9 percent in December,  the biggest gain since December 2010. Yet Obama's apparent vision of a nation  once again propelled by manufacturing -- a vision shared by many Republicans --  may already have slipped into the past.

Over generations, the economy has become ever more driven by services; not  since 1975 has the U.S. had a surplus in merchandise trade, which covers trade  in goods, including manufactured and farm goods. About 90 percent of American  workers are employed in the service sector, a profound shift in the nature of  the workforce over many decades.

The overall trade deficit through the first 11 months of 2011 ran at an  annual rate of nearly $600 billion, up almost 12 percent from the year  before.

OBAMA: "The Taliban's momentum has been broken, and some troops in Afganistan have begun to come home."

THE FACTS: Obama is more sanguine about progress in Afghanistan than his own  intelligence apparatus. The latest National Inteligence Estiamte on Afghanistan warns that the Taliban will grow stronger, using fledgling talks with the U.S. to gain credibility and  stall until U.S. troops leave, while continuing to fight for more territory. The  classified assessment, described to The Associated Press by officials who have  seen it, says the Afghan government hasn't been able to establish credibility  with its people, and predicts the Taliban and warlords will largely control the  countryside.

OBAMA: "On the day I took office, our auto industry was on the verge of  collapse. Some even said we should let it die. With a million jobs at stake, I  refused to let that happen. In exchange for help, we demanded responsibility. We  got workers and automakers to settle their differences. We got the industry to  retool and restructure. Today, General Motors is back on top as the world's  number one automaker. Chrysler has grown faster in the U.S. than any major car  company. Ford is investing billions in U.S. plants and factories. And together,  the entire industry added nearly 160,000 jobs."

THE FACTS: He left out some key details. The bailout of General Motors and  Chrysler began under Republican President George  W. Bush. Obama picked up the ball, earmarked more money, and finished the  job. But Ford, which Obama mentions as well, never asked for a federal bailout  and never got one. It's managed to get along on its own. Also, as part of its  restructuring, Chrysler is not really a U.S. automaker anymore. Italian  automaker Fiat now owns a 30 percent share, and it will eventually go to 51  percent under terms of the U.S. bailout and its bankruptcy restructuring.

36 Obama aides owe $833,000 in back taxes

How embarrassing this must be for President Obama, whose major speech theme so far this campaign season has been that every single American, no matter how rich, should pay their "fair share" of taxes.

Because how unfair -- indeed, un-American -- it is for an office worker like, say, Warren Buffet's secretary to dutifully pay her taxes, while some well-to-do people with better educations and higher incomes end up paying a much smaller tax rate.

Or, worse, skipping their taxes altogether.

A new report just out from the Internal Revenue Service reveals that 36 of President Obama's executive office staff owe the country $833,970 in back taxes. These people working for Mr. Fair Share apparently haven't paid any share, let alone their fair share.

Previous reports have shown how well-paid Obama's White House staff is, with 457 aides pulling down more than $37 million last year. That's up seven workers and nearly $4 million from the Bush administration's last year.

Nearly one-third of Obama's aides make more than $100,000 with 21 being paid the top White House salary of $172,200, each.

The IRS' 2010 delinquent tax revelations come as part of a required annual agency report on federal employees' tax compliance. Turns out, an awful lot of folks being paid by taxpayers are not paying their own income taxes.

The report finds that thousands of federal employees owe the country more than $3.4 billion in back taxes. That's up 3% in the past year.

That scale of delinquency could annoy voters, hard-pressed by their own costs, fears and stubbornly high unemployment despite Joe Biden's many promises.

The tax offenders include employees of the U.S. Senate who help write the laws imposed on everyone else. They owe $2.1 million. Workers in the House of Representatives owe $8.5 million, Department of Education employees owe $4.3 million and over at Homeland Security, 4,697 workers owe about $37 million. Active duty military members owe more than $100 million.

The Treasury Department, where Obama nominee Tim Geithner had to pay up $42,000 in his own back taxes before being confirmed as secretary, has 1,181 other employees with delinquent taxes totaling $9.3 million.

As usual, the Postal Service, with more than 600,000 workers, has the most offenders (25,640), who also owe the most -- almost $270 million. Veterans Affairs has 11,659 workers owing the IRS $151 million while the Energy Department that was so quick to dish out more than $500 million to the Solyndra folks has 322 employees owing $5 million.

The country's chief law enforcement agency, the Department of Justice, has 2,069 employees who are nearly $17 million behind in taxes. Like Operation Fast and Furious, Attorney General Eric Holder has apparently missed them too.

As with ordinary people, the IRS attempts to negotiate back-tax payment plans with all delinquents, whose names cannot be released. But according to current federal law, the only federal employees who can be fired for not paying taxes are IRS workers.

When it comes to all the Green Robber Barons who’ve reaped an obscenely unfair share of billions of tax dollars from the Obama administration, the envy trumpeteers will be quieter than a nest of mute church mice.

Obama’s State of the Union address defiantly pitched a new round of clean energy spending orgies to help the “middle class.” But how have the serial bankruptcies and near-bankruptcies of several federally subsidized solar companies — all under Obama’s watch — helped anyone but an upper-crust elite of eco-crats and their lobbyists and consultants?

Bankrupt Solyndra, billionaire George Kaiser. In the wake of the half-billion-dollar Solyndra stimulus bust, company officials revealed plans to hand out hefty bonuses totaling $500,000. Months before the politically connected solar energy manufacturer went belly up, it was doling out bonus payments of between $40,000 and $60,000 to several executives. Last week, a local CBS News crew caught employees at the Silicon Valley headquarters trashing solar panel glass tubes worth an estimated $10 million.

Cronyism, Bailouts, and Media Bias inside the Solyndra Collapse

The now-abandoned Taj Mahal complex cost ordinary Americans more than $733 million. But billionaire Democratic donor and frequent White House guest George Kaiser, whose nonprofit foundation was Solyndra’s biggest investor, is still sitting pretty. He and the other private investors of Solyndra will recoup their losses ahead of taxpayers. And while they blast their GOP opponents, double-standard Democrats will remain AWOL on the glaring tax-avoidance strategies of the wealthy Kaiser Family Foundation.

Bankrupt Beacon Power, fat Democratic coffers.This green energy storage plant filed for bankruptcy last fall after a $43 million injection of Obama Department of Energy loan guarantees. Federal election record filings show that CEO William Capp contributed to the 2008 Obama campaign, as well as several left-wing New England Democratic candidates. Beacon Power lobbyist Steve Wolfe was a former aide to the late Sen. Ted Kennedy. Beacon sought bankruptcy shelter two days after the White House responded to fiscal watchdogs’ demands for a review of the DOE’s shoddy loan monitoring programs.

Bankrupt SpectraWatt, red-faced Goldman Sachs. A solar cell company based in New York, SpectraWatt went belly up last August despite a half-million-dollar federal stimulus boost and lucrative backing from politically connected Goldman Sachs — whose ties reach deep into the Obama Treasury Department, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, White House National Economic Council and 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. itself. The eco-failure was dumped in a fire sale for less than $5 million.

Teetering Nevada Geothermal, cheerleading Harry Reid. Despite $150 million in federal DOE and Treasury Department subsidies — not to mention personal lobbying by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid — this alternative energy project is on the brink of failure. A Deloitte and Touche audit grimly concludes that the company “has incurred net losses over the past several years, has an accumulated deficit of $44.0 million and an anticipated inability to retire its long-term liabilities.” According to CBS News, the company’s latest SEC filings warn of multiple defaults.

My scouring of White House visitor logs shows nine visits from another Green Robber Baron, Illinois-based Exelon’s CEO John Rowe, who met with the president and former chief of staff Rahm Emanuel multiple times. As Forbes magazine reported: The clean energy company “has very deep ties to the Obama Administration. Frank M. Clark, who runs ComEd, helped advise Obama before he ran for president and is one of Obama’s largest fundraisers. Obama’s chief political strategist, David Axelrod, worked as a consultant to Exelon. Obama’s chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, helped create Exelon” — where he raked in more than $16 million over two years.

Remember: “Fairness” is in the eye of the wealth redistributors.

Some  people  have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way you can understand  them. This  quote came from a friend in the  Czech Republic . We have  a lot of work to   do. "The  danger to America is not Barack Obama but a  citizenry capable of  entrusting a man like him with the Presidency.  It  will be far easier  to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to  restore the  necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate  willing  to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and  far  more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America .

Blaming the prince of  the fools should not  blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that  made him their prince. The  Republic can survive a Barack Obama,who is,  after all, merely a fool.  It  is less likely to survive a multitude  of fools such as those who made him their   president."

Obama Puts Down America Again

 As President Obama turns to campaigning instead of governing, he reveals more of his real thinking.

“America’s not just looking out for yourself, it’s not just about greed, it’s not just about trying to climb to the very top and keep everybody else down,” Obama said at the United Auto Workers’ annual National Community Action Program Legislative Conference in Washington.

In other words, with certain exceptions, America is about keeping others down. Yet the fact is no one who has climbed to the top wants to keep anybody down. Not Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, George Soros, Michael Moore, Warren Buffett, or Obama himself. Not Donald Trump, Mitt Romney, or Michael Dell.

Having created an imaginary bogey-man, Obama sends a message to the least fortunate in our society that the deck is stacked against them, so why try?

I recently saw the brilliant documentary film “Waiting for Superman” produced by Walden Media. It was heartbreaking to see poor, mainly black children shed tears because they did not win a lottery to attend a charter school. Because they can fire incompetent teachers, charter schools send up to 90 percent of their graduates to college.
