Vértigo Es un álbum doble, con el que Fey experimenta nuevos ritmos, desde el electropop, hasta el alternativo, progressive y el industrial como en el tema "To be honest". Fue lanzado en el 2002 siendo un disco de los más costosos hasta la fecha en la historia de la música en México. Grabado en Estados Unidos, Londres y España, producido por Graeme Pleeth, Robin Barter, y Robert Jazayeri.

Es un disco muy oscuro y considerado como el mejor de la carrera de Fey en el que todos los temas son de su inspiración. Vértigo muestra una clara influencia de artistas como Depeche mode y el lado más fresco de la islandesa Björk, dando como resultado un material adelantado a su tiempo, pero que seguramente se convertirá en un disco clásico al pasar los años.

Indiscutiblemente se destaca la versión en inglés, pues pareciera que Fey necesitaba de un idioma que da mayores posibilidades de juego en cuanto a la métrica, cosa que aprovechó en todo momento.

Las canciones más sobresalientes son: Romeo & Juliet, Vertigo, Dark Angel, Follow me down y siento. Se editó un álbum doble en edición mexicana, el cual se compone por 11 temas en castellano, y 14 en inglés.

Originally released in Mexico as a double album featuring one disc in English and a second in Spanish, Vertigo became the fourth full-length record by Latin pop artist Fey. Produced in England and the U.S. by Graeme Pleeth and Robert Jazayeri, this album delivers a more stylish, sophisticated, and even sexy Fey, who mostly sings over pulsating electronic music. Anticipated following the release of the Sé Lo Que Vendrá single, Vertigo achieved gold status in Mexico after selling 75,000 copies in two weeks. Sonically, this record marks an adventurous evolution of Fey from her previous teen pop sty-le.

Few musical experiences are as exhilarating as watching a pop artist escape the innate limitations of her genre by moving into unexpected stylistic territory and delivering an album that surpasses all previous expectations. Such is the case with Fey, the Mexican starlet who has spent most of her career cultivating a crowd-pleasing persona as the ultimate princess of bubblegum pop. Rather than place her path on automatic pilot, the precocious singer has given herself the space to mature and experiment with new formats. Vertigo finds her surrounded by the kind of sophisticated soundscapes that define most electronica-oriented European pop. But nothing is over the top here. On songs such as the anthemic title track and the effervescent "Se Lo Que Vendra," the drum machines and bubbly synth effects are used as subtle accompaniment, leaving Fey's rich vocals to tell the main story. Some of the material makes her sound a bit too close to other Latin pop divas--think Thalia orPaulina Rubio--but for the most part, the new Fey is a true original. --Ernesto Lechner

 Vertigo sólo puede ser comparado con Homogenic de Bjork, Ray of Light de Madonna o Impossible Princess de Kylie Minogue. Y no por Fey, sino por los productores que son excelentes músicos.
