I hope the Republican Party is still the party of family values and character. Sometimes, this facet of Romney's personality isn't so subtle.
In July 1996, the 14-year-old daughter of Robert Gay, a partner at Bain Capital, had disappeared. She had attended a rave party in New York City and gotten high on ecstasy.
Three days later, her distraught father had no idea where she was and
Romney took immediate action. He closed down the entire firm and
asked all 30 partners and employees to fly toNew Yorkto help find
Gay's daughter.
Romney set up a command center at the LaGuardia Marriott and hired a
private detective firm to assist with the search. He established a toll-free
number for tips, coordinating the effort with the NYPD, and went through
his Rolodex and called everyone Bain did business with inNew York,
and asked them to help find his friend's missing daughter.
Romney's accountants at Price Waterhouse Cooper put up posters on
street poles, while cashiers at a pharmacy owned by Bain put fliers in the
bag of every shopper. Romney and the other Bain employees scoured
every part ofNew Yorkand talked with everyone they could, prostitutes,
drug addicts, anyone. That day, their hunt made the evening news, which featured photos of the girl and the Bain employees searching for her. As a result, a teenage boy phoned in, asked if there was a reward, and then hung up abruptly. The NYPD traced the call to a home in New Jersey, where they found the girl in the basement, shivering and experiencing withdrawal symptoms from a massive ecstasy dose. Doctors later said the girl might not have survived another day.
Romney's former partner credits Mitt Romney with saving his daughter's
life, saying, "It was the most amazing thing, and I'll never forget this to
the day I die." So, here's my epiphany: Mitt Romney simply can't help himself. He sees a problem, and his mind immediately sets to work solving it, sometimes consciously, and sometimes not-so-consciously. He doesn't do it for self-aggrandizement, or for personal gain. He does it because that's just how he's wired. Many people are unaware of the fact that when Romney was asked by his old employer, Bill Bain, to come back to Bain & Company as CEO to rescue the firm from bankruptcy, Romney left Bain Capital to work at Bain & Company for an annual salary of one dollar.
When Romney went to the rescue of the 2002 Salt Lake Olympics, he
accepted no salary for three years, and wouldn't use an expense account.
He also accepted no salary as Governor of Massachusetts. Character counts!
The media and Obama re-election machine will focus on Romney's wealth
and the immorality of it, as they see it, but Romney is a man who uses his
wealth to bless and to make this world a better place.
Let's get this message out because it is not likely that the media will do so!

Examining the life and faith of Karl Marx, the patron saint of the left, offers insights into the mind and the actions of the left today. Rev. Richard Wurmbrand, the author of Marx & Satan makes a convincing case regarding the satanic beliefs and practices of Marx and his coterie of radicals. The amoral philosophy of Marx, the dialectic, the convoluted and inverse **noallow** of communication, the worship of earthly power, these are all telltale signs of satanic worship and are the hallmark of the left approach to life and politics today. Certainly Marx’ spawn, Nazism and Communism, unleashed more evil into the firmament than have any other cults in history. As Jesus said on the Mount: “A good tree cannot bear evil fruit, an evil tree cannot bear good fruit…know them by their fruits.”
Marxist ideas have been submerged into an unwitting culture, a culture that is not consciously engaging in satanic worship. Yet the satanic influence of Marx continues to permeate society today whether or not one is literally a devil worshipper.

Wurmbrand speculated that Marx was a follower of British occult figure Joanna Southcott, one of the many 19th Century expositors of the “new age.” This author considers the 18th Century Jewish Satanist and occultist Jacob Frank to have more in common with Marx’ approach to life and politics.
Jacob Frank (1726-1791) claimed to be the Messiah and formed a secretive heretical sect that broke away from Judaism. Frank was a follower of Shabtai Zvai, another Jewish false messiah from the previous century. The Frankists, followers of Jacob Frank, formed secret societies after a rabbinic excommunication of him and his followers from Judaism at the 1722 Assembly of Lemberg. The satanic nature of the Frankist movement was indicated by their belief in the virtue of reversing all norms of morality and glorifying that which is considered immoral. Sigmund Freud, who popularized the concept of polymorphous perversity, was probably influenced by the Frankists.
Marx viewed himself as a messiah. Like Jacob Frank, who claimed along with his followers to have converted to Catholicism, and like Frank’s predecessor in heresy Shabtai Zvai and his followers, who claimed to have converted to Islam in 1666, Marx advocated subversion and the necessity of shape-shifting ones image and tactics to suit conditions.
The necessity and justification to lie was codified in leftist thinking by Russian revolutionary Sergei Nechayev and his influential tract Catechism of a Revolutionist. This author has noticed that some left-wing guests on his radio talk show over the years become conservative once they get wind of the conservative orientation of the host. By this means, by deception, the left-wing guest avoids an argument that might require an explanation and defense of leftist positions and beliefs.
Like Frank and his followers, Marx and his coterie believed in God as a common misconception about Marx is that he was an atheist. Marx and his colleagues sought to overthrow God. This view was summed up by Michael Bakunin, a close collaborator of Marx and a fellow founder of the First International:
The Evil One is the satanic revolt against divine authority, revolt in which we see the fecund germ of all human emancipations, the revolution. Socialists recognize each other by the words “In the name of the one to whom a great wrong has been done.”
Satan [is] the eternal rebel, the first free thinker and the emancipator of worlds. He makes man ashamed of his bestial ignorance and obedience; he emancipates him, stamps upon his brow the seal of liberty and humanity, in urging him to disobey and eat of the fruit of knowledge.
The skill of the leftist political communicator today is to say absolutely nothing in long and elaborately adorned sentences that sound important and profound. The ultimate sign of a skilled left-wing dialectician is noted by the ability to state two diametrically opposite principles in the same speech and even the same sentence. These two talents are verbal examples of the satanic method which is one of deceit and or extolling an overthrow of conventional norms. President Obama is an example of a highly skilled left-wing dissembler and dialectician.
Is This Obama's Brain on Drugs?
We all know the difference between normal mistakes and those that hint at a deeper, more frightening problem, such as Alzheimer's or other brain conditions. In light of this, how do you interpret a shocking mistake recently made by Barack Obama? Writes Terry Jeffrey of CNS News:
In two campaign speeches over the last two days, President Barack Obama has twice mistakenly mentioned "my sons" when defending his administration's regulation requiring virtually all health-care plans in the United States to provide women, without any fees or co-pay, with sterilizations and all Food and Drug Administration-approved contraceptives, including those that can cause abortions.
Given that Obama has, ostensibly, only daughters, where does such a mistake come from? And how do you make it twice on two different occasions without correcting yourself? Then again, how can an American president say, "I've now been in 57 states, I think - one left to go" without correcting himself? Yes, Obama's most recent bizarre slip of the mind makes me think of that older, equally bizarre one. I mean, there are mistakes.
Then there are mistakes.
After all, it's ingrained in every American child when extremely little that our nation has 50 states. Fifty states, fifty states, fifty states, fifty states... It should just roll off the tongue - in just the way the word "daughters" should when girls are all you've ever had.
Of course, this invites the quip - and it's a good example of how there's some truth behind every joke - that "American child" never described Obama, at least not in spirit. But another possibility suggests itself:
Is Barack Obama brain-damaged?
I'm not just being a wise-guy. With the president's admitted past drug use and the recent revelations about how he was a member of the "Choom Gang" in high school, is it hard to imagine that he might have damaged his mind through the abuse of recreational drugs?
"Choom," by the way, is slang for smoking marijuana. And it seems that this gang activity was Obama's favorite extra-curricular option in high school. Writes ABC News' Jonathan Karl:
In his 1995 memoir "Dreams of My Father," Obama writes about smoking pot almost like Dr. Seuss wrote about eating green eggs and ham. As a high school kid, Obama wrote, he would smoke "in a white classmate's sparkling new van," he would smoke "in the dorm room of some brother" and he would smoke "on the beach with a couple of Hawaiian kids."
He would smoke it here and there. He would smoke it anywhere.
Yes, I do like it, Uncle Scam I am. In fact, as the Choom Gang story goes, Obama would start "pot-smoking trends," veritable Nikola Tesla of weed use that he was. Add to this a diversity in drug inclinations that led him to dabble also in hard drugs, and perhaps it explains the soft head.
Of course, as for calling girls "sons," there are other explanations. Perhaps Obama is like those parents who don't want to **noallow** stereotype their children and thus are very pleased when their son dresses as a girl; maybe he'll now refer to Malia and Sasha as sons half the time. Perhaps he subscribes to the fashionable LBGT idea that "gender' is all a matter of perception. Heck, apparently he already believes that one's ideology and economic model needn't have a relationship to reality.
Then, American Thinker editor Thomas Lifson theorizes that the explanation may be that Obama is hiding more than just a sordid past, writing:
It has never occurred to me that Barack Obama might have a second secret family, as Charles Kurault did, hidden from his first family (pardon the pun) and the general public. I still find this hard to believe.
But what kind of brain freeze or derangement leads someone to refer to my sons, when two daughters are the only fruit of conception one has created?
Perhaps the freeze symptomatic of a fried brain?
Then again, Dr. Lifson could be right. Maybe Obama had more of a reason than we think to say that if he had a son, he'd look like Trayvon.
All joking aside, the only thing we can know for sure about Obama is that he's a very bizarre man. He had an absentee father, and, in his high-school yearbook, he acknowledged a drug dealer but not his quasi-absentee mother. He seems to have received more ideology than love, as he was mentored by communist-party member Frank Marshall Davis, was drawn to Marxist professors in college and ran on both the Democratic and the socialist New Party line in the 1990s. And when you consider this, it's not surprising that he turned to drugs during adolescence: it's what kids with troubled upbringings often do.
As to this, C.S. Lewis once wrote something very profound about the significance of upbringing:
No justification of virtue will enable a man to be virtuous. Without the aid of trained emotions the intellect is powerless against the animal organism. I had sooner play cards against a man who was quite skeptical about ethics, but bred to believe that "a gentleman does not cheat", than against an irreproachable moral philosopher who had been brought up among sharpers.
It's hard to know for sure how scarred, in mind and soul, Obama is as a result of his bizarre youth. But should we continue to take the chance of letting him play America's hand?
Do-Nothing, Vacation-Loving, Golf-Addicted, Underemployed, Underachieving Candidate (for Reelection)

Mitt Romney hauled in almost 30 percent more money in May than Obama did, despite frantic efforts by the White House to relegate Obama’s job as president to a part-time gig in favor of all fundraising, all the time.
“The White House insisted this week that Mr. Obama still spends ‘the vast preponderance of his time on his official duties,’” reports the New York Times, “But with his schedule increasingly crowded by fund-raisers and speeches that could easily double as campaign rallies, that case is getting harder and harder to make.”
Quick: Notify the Bureau of Labor Statistics to “up” the official number of underemployed by one (+1) for May to account for Obama’s part-time presidency.
Ah, but Obama did hold his 150th fundraiser of the campaign cycle this week according to the Washington Post.
I wish Obama could get 150 votes for a budget; or for the war he waged in Libya; or for amnesty for illegal immigrants that he keeps promising Hispanics; or for his Stimulus Part II. Or even one vote on a budget.
I guess that would presume that the president would have to submit a budget in something other than crayon. Or presume that he actually understands that the president is expected to do more than just stick his tongue out at congress.
So, in another sign of not just a failed presidency, but a failing president, Obama got his butt kicked by Mitt Romney in the race for campaign cash in May.
If this were, say, Patriots vs. Bears, Pats would be up 10-7 right now.
Not bad if you’re the Bears, but not a good score for a president who has the whole weight of the federal government at his disposal.
“Romney and the Republican National Committee said Thursday that they raised a combined $76.8 million in May,” reports the WaPost, “which is nearly as much money as the presumed nominee brought in during the entire GOP primary season. Obama and the Democratic National Committee brought in $60 million, which was their best month so far but still lagged behind their opponent, campaign officials said.”
Gee, think the crappy economy might have something to do with it?
Naw.
It’s probably just a fluke as the White House explains to the Post: “We’re focusing on continuing to grow our donor base.”
To where? Outer space? I thought the DNC already got the China-to-PLO-to-Egypt small dollar donations cranking in 2008? Maybe it’s me, but I’m thinking Chinese donors might be tapped out this time.
We’re used to the idea of the Golfer-in-Chief taking nine day, 18 hole vacations in Hawaii, Martha’s Vineyard and other places you and I can’t afford.
We’ve known for time that he was waaaay underemployed as president.
It kind explains the whole stubborn unemployment thing or debt debacle Obama won’t tackle.
But at least we could count on Obama, Master Orator; or Obama, Greatest Fundraiser in the History of World, Ever!
Sure, he’s a terrible a president, liberals acknowledged, but he speaks well on TV and he can raise a ton of money.
But now liberals have to accept that even in these areas where Obama’s accomplishments were real, that, yes, Sandra, 2008 was all just a terrible fluke.
So let’s sum this up:
A do-nothing, vacation-loving, golf-addicted, underemployed, underachiever as president has now become do-nothing, vacation-loving, golf-addicted, underemployed, underachiever as a candidate.
I, for one, always knew they were the same guy.
I’m glad now that they’ve met.
